Strong Oratory Skills
Most presidents have the ability to preform a will given speech. However, only certain presidents have Strong Oratory skills. Strong oratory skills come in very different shapes and forms. Some presidents speak in a rhythm, and others just own each word they say with confidence and strength. Many presidents have acquired oratory skills, but only elite presidents contain strong oratory skills.
President Franklin Delano Roosevelt
President Roosevelt showed great oratory skills though out his whole presidency, he consistently held "Fireside Chats." "Fireside Chats" was a radio station in which FDR would speech to the whole nation about once a week. He would do this to talk to the american people during the time of the Great Depression. President FDR, served more terms than any other president, and that was because he was one with the people of the United States, the nation really needed someone to gently lead them through the Great Depression, and with the help of FDR's oratory skills, he accomplished just that.
Ronald Reagan
President Reagan was definitely one of the best speakers in presidential history. When he spoke, he was able to grasp the attention of everyone in the building. Republican or Democrat, no matter what party a person was in; they listened. Many believe that Reagan acquired these fantastic oratory skills from his previous acting career. President Reagan was truly one of our nations best speakers.
President Barack Obama
President Obama has unparalleled oratory skills. What sets President Obama apart from other presidents, is that President Obama is able to speak with such consistent rhythm that moves his audience. He always owns every word, saying it with such enthusiasm. President also uses body motions to show the people of america that he is emotionally attached to everything he speaks of.
President John F. Kennedy
According to the Huffington Post, President John F. Kennedy is the greatest modern speaker of our time. His Inaugural "Ask Not" speech is noted as the second best presidential speech of all time. President Kennedy used to use his "charming" touch on the crowd to touch the heart of each individual. He spoke and people listened, in more countries than just the United States, he spoke to Germany in an American College there with many germans in attendance, and he lightened and hyped up the crowd just like he was in his home turf of America. That is why President JFK has amazing oratory skills.
President Harry S. Truman
President Harry S. Truman had great oratory skills. However, he had a different form of speaking than all other of these presidents I listed. President Truman, just spoke whatever was on his mind, no matter if it was politically correct or not. He used a "No B.S. Strategy," in his speeches. President Truman spoke, and you listened because he owned every word, and spoke so firm and strong.
